Best Free Script Handwriting Fonts
Here are the best free script handwriting fonts for download. I’m a huge fan of handwriting fonts – not just the fancy calligraphy ones that are so popular right now. As pretty as they are, it just doesn’t seem like how most people would actually write. When I’m looking for something pretty, casual, authentic, with unique personality, I usually go for handwriting fonts.
The problem is that it’s really hard to find the best free script handwriting fonts. Most seem to be either too infantile, too messy, or too formal. I find myself spending hours looking for the perfect font for each project. It can be exhausting!
So to save you all tons of time and effort, I’ve put together a list of my favorite best free script handwriting fonts that are completely free. I can’t wait to hear how you use them! If you have any additional handwriting font suggestions please add them in the comments!

Sorry I’m such a beginner…but I clicked download, but now do not see the font files anywhere on my computer….? Can you let me know the basic process?

Hi Mindy! Thanks for downloading. So once you download the .zip file, you’ll need to unzip it to find the font files. Then right click on the fonts to install and click install (windows) or double click to open the font file and click the install button on that popup (mac). Then restart the program you want to use them with and they should be there. If not, restart your computer. Hope that helps!

Hi Carlotta! So sorry you’re having troubles with the fonts – did you check your spam folder? Sometimes on gmail our first email goes to spam or the promo tab so you don’t initially see it. We then recommend clicking the “not spam” button and adding our email address to your contact book so you can be sure to receive future emails in a place you can see them 🙂 I can see that you are on the list already and the email was sent, so it must be lost somewhere in your inbox!
