Over the past five years running Wild Side® and other crazy business ventures, it’s safe to say I’ve learned a lot. One thing that I learned pretty early on during my entrepreneur journey is that in order for a business to run smoothly and efficiently, some key systems need to be put into place.
I’ve been sitting on so much content, design, and endless big ideas for a long time. In order to take the next step in helping out all my wonderful tribe of dreamers and trailblazers, I wanted to make sure I did it right. One of these brilliant ideas is something that people have been asking me for forever – beautiful, custom WordPress themes, at a price that won’t break the bank.
I woke up this morning to the most amazing news in my inbox: Wild Side® has been selected as one of the Top 40 Brand Designers of 2019 by none other than Fiona Humberstone, AKA The Brand Stylist. You may have heard of her before….she’s the author of How to Style Your Brand and Brand Brilliance.
Pinterest has always been the #1 traffic source and client magnet for Wild Side®, since day one. I pretty much focus exclusively on Pinterest – I don’t even do Instagram! Now, since launching the new Wild Side® brand & Pinterest strategy, I’ve gained more than 1.3 Million monthly views on Pinterest in 45 days. Here's how I did it:
Michelle, makeup artist and hair stylist extraordinaire, reached out to me about helping her rebrand her business, the Gypsy Bazaar. Up until now, she’d been running pop-up makeup booths across the country, at places like Urban Outfitters and Coachella. She came to us wanting to expand her existing beauty repertoire into the world of bohemian-inspired fashion…but with a twist.
Most people could tell you what bohemian fashion or home decor looks like. But what about when it comes to graphic design? How do you capture the essence of that effortless boho look with something like a font? Here's how!
It’s no secret that I’m a little bit obsessed with the 1970’s. I always joke that I was born in the wrong decade, and if I had a time machine I’d go back to to ’76 to see Fleetwood Mac perform live in Burbank, CA because that’s my absolute favorite version of Rhiannon
Guys, I've been working on this project for almost a year. Any designer will tell you that creating your own brand is the harder than any client work, because it's just so close to the heart. And this has definitely not been an exception. So without further ado, I'm ecstatic (and relieved, to be honest) to present the sparklingly new Wild Side® brand!
If I had to choose one word to describe 2018, it would be chaotic. The word chaos is often misunderstood; we usually give it a purely negative connotation, but many creatives can tell you that some of the best inspiration comes out of the most seemingly chaotic circumstances. And that was exactly my 2018.
There's nothing more frustrating when browsing the web than a slow website, where images take forever to load and make the experience confusing. How many times have you simply given up on a website because you didn't want to wait around for it to load?
Robin reached out to me about branding her new blog, Robin’s Empty Nest (btw how amazing is this name? for a lover of puns and wordplay, I was instantly in love). Since her youngest will be leaving for college soon, she wanted to create a space online to talk about all the amazing things moms can do now that their nests are empty.
