I woke up this morning to the most amazing news in my inbox: Wild Side® has been selected as one of the Top 40 Brand Designers of 2019 by none other than Fiona Humberstone, AKA The Brand Stylist. You may have heard of her before….she’s the author of How to Style Your Brand and Brand Brilliance.

About a month ago she opened submissions for her 40 At 40 initiative and, always a fan of her beautiful work, I threw my hat in the ring, not thinking much of it. I don’t like to get my hopes up because I notoriously get too emotionally invested in “competitions” and contests and I wanted to keep my expectations in check. Assuming how many talented artists would probably be applying, I knew it would be tough!

Turns out, she had over 250 submissions total, from some incredibly talented artists. I can only imagine the amount of work that went into narrowing down this list, which makes it even more of an honor to be included in the final edition.

Guys, I’m over the moon! I don’t put myself out there enough (partly due to just being to busy working with my amazing clients and building better resources for my community, and partly due to being an extremely camera-shy introvert), which is why this feels like such a big win. I think more than anything it shows how I have to start getting Wild Side® out to the world even more….well, that’s in the works soon *wink

The best of all? Fiona totally nailed it in her description of Wild Side®:

Wild, expressive and bohemian for free spirits.

I wanted to give a big round of gratitude and applause for everyone (clients, family, fans and followers) who made it possible to get this far. And here’s to putting myself out there more in the future – it’s time for the world to embrace its Wild Side® 🙂
