Nothing has me dreaming of my future Tiny Tropical Home more than this latest project, one of the most creative (and intensive) collaborations I’ve had in a long time!

Boss babe (and Dream Client!) Shannon reached out to me ready to rebrand her social media agency ahead of quitting her day job. She wanted to take a more scalable route, starting to offer online courses and resources for female, service-based business owners. We built out the entire brand strategy first, followed by brand styling suite and fully decked-out website complete with longform sales page (and I mean really long – like scrolling for miles!)

Keep reading for a peek at the process and dreamy final result!

The inspiration

The inspiration for the brand was a Cali bungalow feel: laid back, natural, with a touch of boho chic. We chose a contrasting palette of sunset orangey-reds with cool sage and jungle greens. The banana leaf was a central theme in our inspiration process.

The logo design

With our inspiration and color palette decided, we moved into logo designs. I wanted to add a bit of an adventurous and whimsical feel while maintaining the essence of the outdoor nature of the brand.

The brand design

We ended up going with concept #2 because of the arrow motif, doubling in meaning as Cupid’s arrow of love and that of adventure, exploration and purpose.

For the typography, we chose a chic & trendy combination of Osaka for headers, Aviano Sans for subheaders & accent, and modern Basic Modern Pro for body/copy. To add a custom touch, we recommended Bon Vivant for some handwritten elements to be used sparingly in the designs.

We then collaborated with one of our talented illustrators to create a custom hanging chair illustration. Seriously though, how cute is this? To match, we also crafted a signature burst pattern that embodies the “Bungalow Boho” vibe we were aiming for, working perfectly as a border element and a background in multiple color combinations.

The culmination of all this hard work was the beautiful, completely custom website that we designed and developed, complete with a novel-length, killer converting sales page design!

Next step is to recreate this little hanging chair corner in my own house…one day!

And there you have it! Keep scrolling for the eye candy 😉

  1. Hi!

I am obsessed with these logo designs. Are they available to purchase at all and be altered. It would definitely fit the theme I am going for! Thank you in advance 🙂
